- Forget about your Workbench serial.prefs, they aren't being used!

- If you have a 14400 modem, you should really set a baud rate of at least
- 38400 to take advantage of compression.

- Set your serial rate to 38400 using a terminal program, and save it to
- your modems NVRAM. Then make sure you have the same baud rate specified
- in your ppp0.config file, e.g.

- serial.device 0 38400 (etc)

- The main thing is that your serial rate and ppp0.config should match.
